The Northwest Suburban Concert Band was formed in 1986 to play the traditional music written for brass and woodwind concert bands. Our music library consists of marches, show tunes, classical, Dixieland, jazz and some polkas.
We are a true community band welcoming all ages from high school and up, and all levels of playing skills.
We are sponsored by the Hanover Park Park District but we have members from as far away as Chicago and Crystal Lake.
There are no fees and no tryouts and enjoy a friendly, noncompetitive atmosphere. We practice every Tuesday night from 7:30 to 9:00 PM at Springwood Middle School on Arlington Drive in Hanover Park.
We are available to play concerts, indoors or out, and parades riding a float.
